From the little Buckeye details to the incredible light projections, Laura and Steven’s wedding was one for the books. They first fell in love at Ohio State University (GO BUCKEYES!!). The wedding took place at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, GA. From the first look to a surprise appearance by Michael Jackson, the happiness couldn’t be wiped off Laura’s beautiful face. Before the ceremony began, we had a first look with the Laura and her father. Like many brides, Laura didn’t want her dad to see her wearing the wedding dress before the big day. Our team of photographers prepared to capture the emotional first look of daddy and daughter. Our pictures turned out stunning captivating the overwhelming amount of love and joy that could be felt between Laura and her father. The Atlanta Athletic Club did a wonderful job decorating and transforming the outdoor pavilion area into a simple but sophisticated ceremony space. The ceremony was complimented by the beautiful scenery that the Atlanta Athletic Club keeps so polished and well maintained. As guests arrived, they were ushered into the ceremony area. As Laura walked down the aisle with her father, the expression on Steven’s face was priceless. It is very clear that the two are head over heels for each other. At the beginning of the ceremony after being walked down the aisle by her father, Laura partakes in the Jewish wedding tradition of the bride circling the groom seven times. The custom of seven circles has many explanations, including but limited to a representation of seven days in a week and seven aliyot on Shabbat; as well as, “when a man takes a wife” appearing in the bible seven times and on Simchat Torah, the Torahs are carried around the synagogue seven times. Lastly, there is a mystical teaching that the bride, in circling seven times, enters seven spheres of her husband’s innermost being. In all modern Jewish weddings, brides will circle the groom seven times to proclaim that she is his forever; however, Steven decided that he wanted to circle Laura as well to show his love and commitment to her in return. This is one of the things we love wedding after wedding, Taking a tradition and truly making it your own. After the knot was tied, rings exchanged and they were sealed with a kiss Laura and Steven went on to take pictures together as the guests observed an outdoor cocktail hour. The Atlanta Athletic Club beautifully transformed the reception hall into a Buckeye fan’s dream wedding. The groom’s cake was Ohio State’s logo, while the wedding cake was more traditional with buckeye accents. Buckeye decorations sprinkled the reception hall. From actual buckeye desserts to placement cards with famous Ohio State football players on them, the reception hall truly showed the fun and outgoing personalities of Laura and Steven. About halfway through the ceremony, a surprising guest crashed the party. Who other than a Michael Jackson impersonator? Songs like “Thriller” and “Beat It” were the most popular with guests dancing and singing along. Laura and Steven had a beautiful wedding from the little details to the big ones. Congratulations Lauren and Steven!
