There is so much we could write about for Caroline and Andrew’s Dahlonega Wedding. But what better place to start than at the beginning. Moreland Photography has been photographing the Werkheiser family for years. Since before Andrew was a senior in High School. Fast forward through a close and fun relationship with their family, Moreland Photography of course got a phone call when Andrew was planning to propose to his beautiful girlfriend, Caroline. You can find their particularly amazing, gorgeous, grab-a-box-of-tissues proposal here. Let a year of planning and excited emotional build up pass, and we bring you the wedding of Caroline and Andrew. The day had been planned so that every detail was covered. We started at the salon where Caroline and her awesome group of bridesmaids were getting ready. Then we travelled back to the Dahlonega Square Hotel where Caroline works, and her parents own, to get dressed for the day! First looks were arranged with dad, grandparents, the bridesmaids, even Caroline’s mother-in-law to be! If you want to feel like a princess, plan for multiple first looks. Everyone was awestruck at Caroline’s beauty, which made her light up more and more every time. While Caroline was getting ready, we were also photographing Andrew with his men. When one of their flower girls walked in with a gift from Caroline. Andrew was very much surprised, as usually it’s his joy to surprise Caroline. (Little did Caroline know of a few surprises for the day). After all the formals had been taken it was time for the ceremony at the Church where Caroline grew up. Caroline and her sister even have a gorgeous stain glass window dedicated to them from their parents.
The chapel was packed as friends and family came from all over to witness Andrew and Caroline finally say I do. Tears of happiness shed down both mom’s (and dad’s) faces. As they exchanged rings, kissed and committed themselves to each other before God, they burst through the Chapel doors into the gleaming sunlight. When Caroline and Andrew Got engaged, their dads (also long time business partners) went in on another business adventure, purchasing a vineyard in Dahlonega. So after the beautiful ceremony, the immediate family and the wedding party bused over to their newly purchased vineyard for pictures! We were battling a little bit of harsh sunlight with the growing threat of rain, but we love a good challenge, and the pictures turned out amazing. I especially love the ones in the wine cellar. The reception was an all out p.a.r.t.y. as everyone stayed on the dance floor all night long. Toasts were made and tears were shed as two families truly became one. After a night of amazing singing and music, the incredible band winded down for one last song before Caroline and Andrew made their exit. Andrew was giddy for the end, and wait until you see why. The exit proceeded like normal, well wishes and bubbles, hugs and kisses. Then… the surprise. Andrew had arranged for a helicopter exit. After they walked through the sea of bubbles. Caroline thought they were walking to a getaway car. She knew something was up when everyone who had just said good bye, started following them! When she finally saw why, here face was priceless! Thank you Andrew and Caroline for a fun-filled day of laughter, love and a good old-fashioned story of two people who fell in love over a lifetime of friendship. Congratulations you two!
