One of the best parts about being a wedding photographer, is how no two weddings are the same. It’s not the decor that makes the wedding, it’s the people. Christina and Blake had an amazing wedding at the Metropolitan Club in Atlanta not too long ago. Every single guest came in from out of town to watch Blake and Christina say I do. Typically, we start at the hotel where the bride and groom are getting ready, and that was no different for today. Christina and Blake had decided on having a first look so they could complete most of the photography before the ceremony, and not tie up the reception. We like to suggest this, especially if the bride and groom have large families. And let me tell you, Blake and Christina have large families. It was SO fun to watch all the different ages of family members interact as we took large extended family pictures. We photograph a lot of families, but adored how many children were at this wedding. Children add an unexpected element to weddings, and for this wedding, it was perfect.  After a sweet first look, and all the family images, we headed to the Metropolitan Club literally across the street. A huge added plus for friends and family, Christina and Blake had hired shuttles to get everyone back and forth so everyone could enjoy the reception and not worry about driving.  I love it when brides go out of their way to make things easier for the guests, it’s an extra ‘thank you for being a part of my day’. I have to sing a little praise for the Metropolitan Club here. I would never have expected a wedding ceremony between two office buildings to be as perfect and romantic as was the ceremony for Christina and Blake. You had zero idea you were in the heart of Alpharetta in an area usually crowded with lunchtime employees on their break. They transformed the sitting area into a gorgeous wedding ceremony site. Christina had worked many hours on a handmade arch  that she and Blake would stand under to tie the knot. I truly had so much fun being a part of this big family’s wedding day. Christina and Blake, thank you for having a beautiful vision that transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary, and for choosing us to be another part of your family! We wish you guys the best!
