We were more than happy to share Elizabeth and Tony’s big day with them during their Lake Lanier wedding! We had the pleasure of photographing her sister’s wedding at a country club, but during their consultation we learned that the couple desired a wedding surrounded by nature. Lake Lanier is a famous reservoir in North Georgia that features many amenities including a spa, lake houses and cabins, campgrounds, pools, and a golf course to name a few. Needless to say, being surrounded by the fresh lake air and scenery creates a beautiful environment to have a wedding.

To start her big day off, Elizabeth and her wedding party got dressed in a Villa. Treated like a queen, hair and makeup arrived and made her look absolutely beautiful. Once Elizabeth and her party were done, we went around to a couple of different locations and took magnificent outdoor shots around the greenery, sandy, and rocky parts of the lake. Tony’s first look was set up near a part of the shore. Seeing Elizabeth brought tears to his eyes, and the scenery only made this moment all the more romantic.

At the ceremony, everyone was emotional. You could feel the love exuding from friends and family as they watched the procession in the cool evening air. Picture perfect moments came easily, and after the vows and infamous kiss we arranged some relationship shots to capture the excitement. Following the ceremony came the reception. Tony and Elizabeth enjoyed a standing ovation after their first dance, and then we raced off to take pictures in the sunset! In front of a seemingly endless expanse of calm lake and a skyline painted with purples, oranges and blues this became a truly wonderful moment.

After the sunset left us we returned to the reception where they were received with excitement. Taking their place on the dance floor once again they danced the night away as newlyweds completely surrounded by family and friends. When the night eventually came to an end they were sent off to their car with sparklers and smiling faces. We had a pleasure shooting Elizabeth and Tony’s lake Lanier wedding and wish them nothing but happiness and prosperity in the future!
