This wedding was unlike many weddings that take place in the fall because it took place in Destin Beach, Florida! Merrill and her now husband, David, chose the perfect location and date for their wedding, the Henderson Park Inn. This is the last year the Inn will be hosting weddings in this particular spot, as they are building a whole new venue to accommodate their growing demand. It was very special to be one of the last couples getting married here, as it holds a lot of history for  Merrill’s family. Her and David are the fifth couple they know to get married at the Henderson Park Inn. The tide, weather, and atmosphere was full of love and celebration with a hint of saltiness from the crashing waves. With great planning, we had the opportunity of exploring and documenting all the wedding details from the “shoe valet” to the wedding isle before we even met up with Merrill for the getting ready shots! Merrill and David wanted to see each other before the wedding, so we brought them together for a fun, intimate photo shoot before saying their “I dos.” The beautiful couple was so enjoyable to shoot because their happiness radiated and they glowed with joy! Merrill looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the isle towards her cutie-husband who’s homeland is South Africa! David was the happiest man in the world getting married to the woman he of his dreams. One of my favorite moments was right after the ceremony, someone asked David how it felt to be married, and David responded (pointing at Merrill), “Have you seen my wife?” He had the biggest smile looking over at his new wife! After the wedding, they joined us for sunset on the beach where took some sunset portraits of the newly wed couple. This could have been a movie filmed in Destin. Merrill and David splashed and dipped into the tide pools in a most beautiful manner. The two were completely with one another in the moment as if we were not even there. Once the sun was down, the dancing shoes came out, and Merrill and David took the floor dancing with friends and family for the night!
